Many registered voters in Illinois are unable to vote in person at the polling place on election day. Early voting was created to allow the voter to vote in a designated polling place during the 22nd day through the 5th day preceding an election without having to supply an excuse or reason. This document provides general information regarding the correct procedures to follow in order to vote early in Illinois.

Military and Overseas Voter Guidelines
The Military and Overseas Voter Guidelines Manual has been developed to help Military personnel and all Illinois residents living overseas. This manual outlines each step that needs to be taken to ensure your absentee ballot is filled out correctly and that your vote will be counted. It will walk you through the process of completing a FVAP application, it will help you to locate your local election authority and it provides a list of frequently asked questions.

Voting While in the Hospital
(Pamphlet)

Many registered voters are hospitalized on election day and are uncertain as to the proper procedures to follow in order to vote. This brochure outlines the correct voting procedures to follow for those voters who are hospitalized.
