Member of the State Board of Elections since July 2004; currently serving as Chairman for the 2009-2011 term. Served as Vice Chairman 2007-2009. Mr. Schneider resides in Chicago and is an attorney in corporate practice. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the University of Illinois College of Law where he teaches a class in election law. He previously served as Parliamentarian for the Illinois House of Representatives and as counsel for the Speaker and Republican Leader of the Illinois House of Representatives. He is an Illinois certified public accountant. He was graduated Bachelor of Science in accounting from Tri-State University, Angola, Indiana; Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School, Madison, WI; and Master of Business Administration from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois. He is a trustee of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Chicago and a member of the board of directors of L.E.A.R.N. Charter School in Chicago’s Lawndale neighborhood.
