In Illinois, elections for each jurisdiction are administered by the election authority. Illinois has 110 election authorities - 101 county clerks, eight municipal boards of election commissioners, and one county board of elections (DuPage).

Voter Registration

The election authority for each jurisdiction administers voter registration. Illinois residents may register at the office of the election authority, at driver's license facilities, by mail and with deputy registrars who are appointed in each jurisdiction by the election authority.
