Although you may begin entering your committee’s transactions immediately
after you install the IDIS software, you will not be able to electronically
file your reports until you have established a filer account with the State Board of Elections.
The Filer Account is a unique user name that a political committee will choose for the purpose of
filing with IDIS 2. If the committee has a FID number they will not need to establish a Filer Account,
the FID number will be the Filer Account.
A Filer Account may be obtained by calling or
e-mailing the Springfield office after
the political committee has filed a Statement of Organization.
