The Division of Election Information is responsible for candidate petitions
filed with the State Board of Elections (statewide, congressional, legislative,
representative, judicial and multi-county offices file nominating petitions
with the SBE) as well as certifying the ballot to the election authorities,
canvassing the votes following an election and preparing certificates of
nomination and the proclamations for the Governor's Office. Election
Information publishes the Board's election calendar, composes uniform forms
approved by the Board, and responds to public and election authority inquiries
concerning election law provisions on a state and local level.
